The trial for this defamation case commenced on April 11, 2022, in Fairfax County, Virginia.
On June 1, 2022, the jury in Virginia awarded Johnny $15 million in defamation damages. That was soon reduced to $10.35 million with Virginia’s cap on punitive damages. At the same time the jury awarded Amber $2 million worth of damages.
